Overview

Polytronix offers Active-Matrix and Segment E-Ink displays for low-power product programs. E-Ink LCD technology is an ultra-low-power, high-contrast, sunlight-readable, wide-viewing-cone, and cost-effective display solution for handheld, battery-powered, and battery-less devices. Because E-Ink is bi-stable, the panel only consumes power when the image changes — the display holds its content with no power draw between updates.

We offer standard monochrome black-and-white options as well as multi-color variants in B/W/R (black/white/red), B/W/Y (black/white/yellow), and B/W/R/Y (black/white/red/yellow) configurations. If the application requires it, we offer touch panels and front-light technology as add-ons to any standard option (tooling cost may apply). Standard graphic-type solutions are available out of the box; custom designs can be developed against a host program's mechanical and resolution requirements.

The standard E-Ink family spans 1.54 in, 1.64 in, 2.13 in, 2.36 in, 2.66 in, 2.7 in, 2.9 in, 3.0 in, 4.2 in, 4.37 in, 7.3 in, 7.5 in, and 8.14 in sizes across 14 size families. Front-light availability and touch availability vary by family.

Bi-stable ultra-low-power operation
